Why Water Proof Mattress Pad
Is it okay if you children fall asleep on the mattress? There may be children who urinate when they fall asleep. Kids love drinking their milk while relaxed on the bed.
You might experience problems cleaning the mattress as the liquid would have entered the bed. The mess has to be cleaned then and there, otherwise it could be unhygienic and dirty. In the future, the bed would emit not only a bad odor, but it would be unhygienic as well. It is for sure that no one would want to keep a stinking mattress in the house. I’m sure not! It goes without saying that mattress pads which are waterproof is the way out. The bedding does not become wet, thanks to the waterproof mattress pads. The mattress cover will be wet, but that can be washed in the washing machines.
The mattress will be a simple job of just wiping the liquid away with a cloth and a home detergent. Yes, there is no need to use a special machine to suck out the liquid or to carry the cumbersome mattress out to dry!
There are mattresses available in the market wherein water does not seep inside. Some are as cheap as just a electric mattress pads that allows you to blow up the mattress with a machine. There are others that are full pocketed spring mattress with full waterproof materials.
While it is nice to have these waterproof mattress pads, take note that there is a trade-off. There is no free flow of air and hence the pads are warm. You see, mattresses need tiny air-holes in order to make the mattresses cool when we are sleeping. The water proof mattress gets completely blocked and air is not able to enter inside.
Some companies reduce this problem by having deeper ridges in the mattress to allow air to pass thru the gaps.
In spite of these disadvantages, the waterproof mattress is highly popular.
