Winterizing your hot tub can be a simple task than you think. It requires a little know-how to take appropriate steps in shutting it down. No winter your hot tub properly can damage your hot tub and its accessories. Here are the steps you need to make sure that your hot tub is protected this winter.

Step 1: Turn off all power

Find Spa heater and flip the switch to off. Ensure that all circuit breakers and other power switches is also disabled.

Step 2: Drain your hot tub

This is one of the most crucial steps in the winter of your hot tub. The most general way to drain your hot tub is to use the garden hose and connect it to the hot tub, drainage tube and use water. To simplify the process, you can also connect the hose to the tap and place the other end in the hot tub. Then, turn on the water until the hose is full, than to close the water and disconnect the hose. You can turn off the water and then disconnect the hose. Step 3: Check the air fan (if any)

Step 5: Loosen the fittings

Step 6: Cover Up
