Every day we hope that we will wake up and have the pleasure of seeing the flowers in full bloom and the sun beaming down into our bedrooms making us feel good. Of course, these elements can only be appreciated when there is a sparkling clean window to view them from. It is the sight of a clean window that is so important.

For many though, the thought of window cleaning fills them with dread. The thing is though, people love to see clean windows and long to wake up in the morning without seeing streaky glass. However, window cleaning needs different window cleaning products that are specific to the kind of windows you have.

So, lets look at the different window cleaning products you might need. If your window is made of glass, you might need a window cleaning squeegee. As well as this, other tools could come in useful too. Add to your shopping list a soap sprayer and sponge. Start by spraying soap onto the glass. Get your sponge and spread the soap all over the glass surface. You can then get rid of the dirt quickly and easily using a cloth. Use a squeegee to force the soap downwards to the bottom of the glass pane. Be careful that the squeegee doesn’t leave any nasty streaks on the glass. There will probably be some remaining water on the window frame, so just wipe this off with a cloth. Run a clean cloth on the window frame to make sure that the sides of the window frame are free of dirt.

If you have wooden window frames that are quite old and tired, try not to use water as the wood will absorb it and destroy it further. Regular dusting of dirt using a cloth is the most effective way in cleaning wooden widows. Don’t use a feather duster as it won’t do any good! Another good idea is to apply some wax to the wooden frames after cleaning them.

Some homes have very high windows and its not always easy to get a really clean finish on them, so a good tip is to buy a professional telescopic window cleaning pole, or as a last resort try the window cleaning professionals. With window cleaning companies, they make the hard work look easy.
