You are an active mom, and you want some help decluttering! Everywhere you look you see clutter! Moms, even though “your home is your castle”, your little princes and princesses also have some “ruling power” in your house whether or not you admit it. After all, whose items cause the most mess? (If the answer is you, well, you know that moms lead by example, right?) Expect your children to give you help decluttering. Afterall, they share the home too!

Your children should be involved in assigning places for things to go if you expect them to remember where they do go. You’re probably thinking “I tell them time and again…” but, have you ever considered asking your children where they think a particularly-often-left-lying-around item should go? For you, his clutter help just might come in the form of your son telling you that he always leaves his book bag on the floor by the entry way because he can’t be bothered with going upstairs to his room to put it away before coming to you to say hi. A solution he might come up with that would solve that problem could be for you to add a hook beside the coats for him to use for his bag!
