There is a house and a home and the difference is, how you feel about it. Home is a place you you feel passionate about it, and feel like you fit in, so in that case, if you live in a house and not a home, you have to create a place you are going to enjoy.

The Home Entertainment

You see, my wife and I, we enjoy having people over. I also enjoy collecting different bottles of drinks. Due to this, I really wished to make one entertainment room. The playroom is really great. It is completely separate from other rooms, and since we have floor is all the stuff, on the first floor is that entertainment room kind of like a loft and the 3 car garage. I installed some extra loft insulation inside the home so it is insulated from all the music so I do not get the whole neighborhood complaining, and to make sure kids can sleep in.

Like I said, we enjoy to have people over, and when my father came to visit me, he actually made a hand crafted bar for me. It is one of those full size bars with lights and stuff. The room is actually large enough to fit it in, and we even added some entertainment games like darts, small TV etc.

At first I thought of finding the antique bar, but realized that in the future this will be antique and it means a lot to me since he create one for me.

Guest Entertainment

Now, our home is on the raised foundation, and it was built in 60′s when many contractors were not thinking of adding a roof, wall and floor insulation. Once we were adding the building insulation into our home, we included the surround system through the floor since it was almost impossible to go through the ceiling. So now when we have a any kind of party at home, it really is feel like home, but entertainment room special.

Since we used to go to so many different places during vacation, now days most of the holiday parties are at home and all of our friends love it. Kids have their own rooms and space while we have our own.

Now that is pretty much the difference between the house and the home. You have to make it your own. This year, we have decided that we need a summer house as well. Now we are actually making plans for the swimming pool and the summer house. It is all about how you imagine your home.
