A real “home improvement” company will offer some sort of insurance. You could simply avoid this unfortunate event by checking with the Better Business Bureau. Also, ask them for a completion report. This will show how long it took for them to do past customers jobs. For your safety also make sure they are bonded and check their workers background before hiring any of their workers.
