In the United States today every second house has either got a water filter or thinking about getting one. The seriousness of contaminated water and what is does to your health is too important to ignore. Water borne diseases are on a raise every year due to contaminants still coming from our local water sources. At times our local water sources overcompensate with chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride to help disinfect our water. Some people can actually taste the difference in water and even the texture is different at times.
Health related sicknesses stemming from this kind of contaminated water are sore stomach, running stomach, headaches especially with kids and even cancer and death in severe cases. Water filters have been proven to actually reduce and even eliminate these kinds of problems whereby purifying our water up to 50% more. A few people choose not to buy a water filter because they fail to see that it is indeed a necessity especially with municipal water sources.
A water filter such as whole house is the perfect system to provide your family with pure throughout your home. Yes, when I said entire house this includes your gardens and showers. These filters are top of the range and it removes all bacteria and chemicals from existing sources before it enters your taps. This system is higher powered and is able to send clean pure water to all outlets of your house. Since this system has only one filter the cleaning process is next to none because for most times it cleans itself.
Three Methods Used In Whole House Filters
Installing a whole house filter is easy and quick to do if you know what you are doing; if you dont then I recommend you get a professional plumber to install it. Whole house filters are usually set up at the main water pipe line of the house. This way filter and purified water is sent into feeder pipelines of the house where you would get purified water throughout the house. Before water even enters the whole house filters it enters the first filter unit. Here the denser sediments and materials are separated before going entering the whole house. Once transferred into the whole house water is filtered even further getting rid of all left over disease carrying bacteria.
The Ionization approach is another way to filter water instead of using the above filter unit method. This approach involves the use of two electric chargers. These charges when activated by the flow of water send an electric pulse through the water killing all bacteria before it enters the whole house system for further purification,
The final method you may want to consider is installing a bypass valve. Installing this valve allows home owners to conserve water. This bypass valve allows you to use non-filtered water for you gardens, lawns and even washing your car. This way you save on electricity which does not need to purify water.
Price Problems
The only problem I can think of is the price of this system. Though it maybe a bit much my family’s health and well-being is priceless. In actual fact ever since my family has been drinking water from the whole house filter my doctors bills have decreased as well. In this way my filter is paying off itself with my family having the benefits of drinking pure clean water.
Other basic filters that are handy are faucet filters, undersink filters and counter-top filters. Unlike the whole house filters only ever filter one tap outlet at a time but are indeed more affordable and convenient if your only concern is filtering drinking water.
For a wise choice of a water filter, whole house is recommended for your family.
