There are many different racial mounts in World of Warcraft for Alliance players. A mount is a specific type of pet that is permanent to the character that acquires it. Typically, for racial mounts, a character must reach a particular level and must obtain the specific riding skill that is required to use the pet. These particular pets are considered to be a status symbol that provides a high level of functionality to the individual that possesses it. When traveling by mount, a character is able to travel very quickly. The character that possesses a mount in World of Warcraft can easily summon and unsummon the pet when the need arises. Here, you will be introduced to the racial mounts that World of Warcraft players may acquire that play on the Alliance side.

While on the Alliance side the available racial mounts are Rams, Nightsabers, Mechanostriders, Horses, and Elekks. While on the Horde side the racial mounts that are available are Raptor, Kodos, Skeletal Horses, Hawkstriders, and Wolves. Dependent on the race you choose to play, you can incorporate one of the specific mounts into your existing pet inventory once you reach a certain level or acquire a particular reputation. Once your character is high enough to obtain a mount, you should take advantage of the opportunity. Doing so enhances your overall game play with increased speed and will help you gain respect from other game players.

Playing WOW on the Alliance side as the Draenei character, will provide the opportunity to acquire an Elekk. The mount can be acquired when level thirty is reached. The Draenei will have to pay only 10 gold just to obtain the mount. The riding skill required for this mount must be purchased for just 35 gold. This particular racial mount gives a speed increase of 60% to the Draenei. At level 60 the speed increases by 100%. The riding skill required is 150 and the rider will be considered a Journeyman. At level 60 this racial mount can be purchased for 100 gold.

A Horse racial mount is available for a human Alliance character. This mount may be acquired for just 10 gold once level thirty has been reached. This mount will give a speed increase of 60%. A player may choose from a Brown Horse, Pinto, Black Stallion, or Chestnut Mare. Once this human character gets to level sixty, a horse mount that give 100% speed increase can be purchased. This mount will cost 100 gold, but the investment is worth the price. You can choose either a Swift White Steed, Swift Brown Steed, or the Swift Palomino.

For Gnomes on the Alliance side, the Mechanostriders are available. At level thirty, these racial mounts may be purchased for 10 gold and at level sixty, they may be purchased for 100 gold. Naturally, a 60% and 100% speed increase is issued – the lowest at level thirty and the other at level sixty. The three top Mechanostriders available include the Swift Green Mechanostrider, the Swift Yellow version and the Swift White version.

For the Night Elf that plays the Alliance side, a Nightsaber racial mount can be purchased at level thirty for 10 gold. You will have to pay 35 gold to acquire the riding skill with the mount itself costing another 10 gold. When level sixty is reached, the mount will cost 100 gold and the riding skill goes for 600 gold. The lower level Nightsabers that are available are the Riding Striped Nightsaber, Riding Striped Frostsaber, and the Riding Spotted Frostsaber. The racial mounts for the Night Elf at higher levels include the Swift Stormsaber, the Swift Frostsaver, and the Swift Mistsaber.

If playing World of Warcraft on the Alliance side as a Dwarf character, a Ram racial mount is available once the specific requirements are fulfilled. Once level 30 is reached, the Dwarf can select a Brown Ram, a White Riding Ram, or a Gray Ram. This racial mounts will cost 10 gold and the riding skill will cost 35 gold. Once you are at level 60, you will have to pay 600 gold to acquire the riding skill needed to ride this mount. Additionally, you will have to pay 100 gold for the mount itself. At this level a Swift Brown Ram, Swift Gray Ram, or a Swift White Ram can be chosen.

Every avid World of Warcraft player will understand how important it is to work toward the goals of obtaining a mount. There are other mounts available in addition to the racial mounts. Players can obtain class specific mounts, a variety of specialty mounts, and flying mounts. Earning one of the many available racial mounts will help you gain the respect of others while looking great. It also makes it really easy to move from one spot to another. It should be easy to see that there are plenty of racial mounts available to WOW Alliance side players. Of course there are other types of mounts available. In addition to the racial mounts there are flying mounts, some class specific mounts, and a wide variety of special mounts.
