Linoleum flooring is very durable, strong, and resists fire and water along with being very easy to clean and maintain which all combined makes linoleum a very good option for many of the kitchens today. Even with these many benefits it is often overlooked as a viable flooring material because of its history of being the most boring option out there. Linoleum flooring can cost you anywhere from $4-9 dollars per square foot not counting installation. I don’t count installation because linoleum is a easy DIY project that can be tackled by even a novice. Installation is not quite as easy as laminate or wood flooring but it is defiantly doable for a homeowner with some do-it-yourself experience. Linoleum has a lot of very good benefits at a reasonable cost so if the only reason you haven’t looked at them further is because of their past as being so boring you might be pleasantly surprised by what you find today.
