Paintball is a game or sport played in many places all over the world, both for fun and for competition. It is a sport specializing in battle simulation, a battle which has guns as the primary and only weapon. Paintball guns, or markers as they are sometimes referred to as, are the weapon of choice. But aside from the paintball guns, the paintballs, and the equipment used when playing this game or sport, there is one other thing that needs to be taken into account, or rather one thing that each and every player must not forget, and utilize, the mind.

In everything that a rational human being does, there is one action that is never, or at the very least must never be forgotten, and that is thinking. The ability for human beings to create complex thoughts and ideas is what separates human beings from the other animals and creatures that live in this world called Earth. Paintball is not only a physical exercise, but a mental one as well. Paintball tactics is the reason as to why paintball is considered as a mental exercise, that at times may even be mentally exhausting. There are two or more opposing teams in each game played, and in each one, the tactics used are the ones that more or less will determine the winners. In paintball tactics is one of the keys to victory.

There are games that rely on individuals to work against each other. There are also games that rely on individuals to work with one another. Paintball is one of those games that rely on individuals working with one another to achieve a goal. This is the reason behind the use of paintball tactics needing both teamwork and communication.

Communication and teamwork go hand in hand when playing paintball. Paintball tactics use both of these things to allow for players to have an easier time running around the field of battle. With the use of paintball tactics, by planning ahead of time on what to do during the mission or the match, by communicating with one another so as not to muck up the play, a team has a greater chance of success than just running around and pelting the whole field of battle with pain.

During play, it will be up to all the individual members of the team to complete the objective of their mission. Communication is key, for there will be times during play that situations may pop up that will need team members to work together, in not just obtaining the prize, but getting past obstacles, be they barriers, or be they opponents. On the field of battle the team must also be able to anticipate or find counters for the paintball tactics used by the opposing team. There will come a time during play that the team will have to make snap decisions that could either lead to either winning or failing, these are the moments wherein teamwork and communication are needed the most.

Paintball may be a sport that many enjoy, since it consists of shooting people with bullets filled with paint. One may actually claim that they were able to bloody up their opponent so bad that they would look like a poorly colored pinata. But even though all fair in love and war, the only way for the pieces on the chessboard to achieve the outcome that they wish to achieve, is if they have a brilliant tactician or strategist that is orchestrating their every move, motion, or play. Paintball tactics, like any other game’s own version, is a dangerous thing when applied to other more metal filled situations.
