5 Tips To Decorate Your Home For Spring

Don’t you just love spring? The weather is perfect, the scenery is colorful and everywhere is blooming and alive after the cold winter months. It’s exciting to think about what’s in store this season. New style, new designand these are not just for fashion but for home decorations as well. Spring calls for a new home interior.

Here are 5 tips that will help you decorate your home this spring. They are very simple: a little touch here and there, a little bit of creativity needed and there you are. A whole new look and not expensive at all.

1. Start decorating by clearing your house of all clutter. This is a good time for a general cleaning from the inside to the outside of your house. Check for any repair and maintenance work. Repainting and polishing are recommended. Spring is about colors, so to have dull, faded colors is not exactly vogue, is it? Take down the curtains to replace with airy ones in lighter shades. Change your beddings and other fabrics with the pastel and bright colors of spring. Choose an area rug that suits the season best – a rug with a light color, bright patterns or a pretty design. Floral prints are in, so you can use this design in your drapes, covers and such.

2. Fresh is in – use fresh flowers: Now is the time to get in fresh flowers – handpicked from your garden would be lovely. Flowers add color and beauty to the room. A corner plant won’t be so bad to get a touch of green into the house. A centerpiece of fresh flowers like tulips, white baby’s breadth and dark green leaves in a nice flat bowl, placed on your dining table, would add beauty to the dining area.

3. An arrangement of artificial flowers: Flower, flowers, flowers. Why so many flowers? You may ask. Flowers give color to a dull room; it shows that spring is here. If you are allergic to fresh flowers or just find it inconvenient to get them, keep a bouquet of artificial flowers in a big fancy pot. It’s easy to take care of and long lasting.

4. Welcome the spring some more by maximizing the sweet smell of spring. The fresh flowers can do the job but if you don’t have fresh flowers, you can always use scented candles, potpourri and oil burners.

5. Clean up your outdoors: This is the time to enjoy entertaining guests in the garden or patio. Its time for barbecues, sit outs and parties. Organize your garden settings, clean up, grow more plants, put benches, a swing and then get your barbecue grill out. It won’t be long since your guests drop in.

So, what do you think? Are you up for some spring redecorating adventure? As for me, I’m ready to startlike right now! In fact, I’ve chosen lavender and peach for my new color theme. I’m also thinking about daisies and sunflowers for my flower decors. I can’t wait!
