Beginning Your Own Photo Blog is Fun

Digital photos are everywhere you go these days! Using electronic photographs instead of the traditional film photos is cheap, there is no used paper to end up in the garbage and they take up almost no physical space at all! It seems like just about everyone has a cell phone camera these days that can snap photos of just about anything in a matter of seconds.

Whether you are a professional photographer or an amateur shutterbug you’ll still enjoy the convenience of digital photography. And what is better than just taking lots of digital photos is the easy way you can share them with others. There are lots of different ways to let others enjoy your photos, from electronic picture frames to printing them out to keeping them on your mobile phone.

One of the newest ways to display your photos to others is by publishing a photo blog. A “web log” or blog is a website that allows an photographer to post instant updates onto World Wide Web about just about any topic imaginable. A photography “web log” can feature the digital photos you took on any specific day or trip. You can add comments about your photos and you can tell people about why you snapped the photos and where you were when you took them.

To begin a photography blog you only need to find some no cost blogging software and pick a blog name. Most blogging sites are fairly simple to get started with. When you are satisfied with a post you “publish” it and anyone on the internet can instantly view it! You simply write your thoughts out in a post, insert your digital photos from your computer and the blogging site pretty much does the rest.

Getting feedback from views to your blog is part of the fun of posting your photos online. With a photography web log you can not only allow others to see your photos but you can also allow visitors to write comments on your posts. If you allow comments on your posts then you can also discover what other people like and don’t like about your images.

Remember not to worry about always writing a post that’s perfect. It is your photography blog and you can post pictures of whatever you like. You can post images of a trip to Florida one day and then put up photos of some flowers in your front yard the next day. Just try to have a good time with the ability to spread your digital images so quickly with your own blog!

Make Article Writing Easier

Many see writing articles as a nuisance. I happen to disagree with this belief. I think that article writing can be one of the most fun and rewarding activities there is.

Some people simply don’t know what to write about and their mind draws a blank when they’re called to the task. I know the frustrations about this, but there are ways around it.

While it always requires a bit of hard work, the process of writing articles can be made much easier by applying a few basic rules. Keep some of the things I’m about to discuss in mind and you’ll do well.

If you map out the purpose of your article in advance, as opposed to simply writing what comes to mind, things will be easier. The best way for me to do this is to think of a subject, then basing my article around a list.

If you don’t like the idea of writing lists, or simply prefer another means as well, tell stories. Everyone has their own experiences to draw from, and personalizing an article in this regard will allow you to connect with your readers.

If I have a number of articles to churn out in one sitting, I’ll usually try to set short term goals. I’ll race against the clock in the hopes of beating the time I’ve allocated to the task. This keeps me focused with an end in sight.

I like to treat myself to little rewards when I’m done writing for the day. If I know that I have to write five articles in one sitting, I’ll take myself out for ice cream when I’m done, or I’ll take a break from my work to watch my favorite TV show.

Lastly, I’d recommend that you work to improve your typing speed and skills. This will go a very long way toward improving your overall efficiency. In typing quickly, I find that I can write an article in half the time that most people can.

This writer blogs about many other areas of interest, including air conditioner covers and portable air conditioning units.

The Art Of Pablo Picasso – Cubism & Fauvism

Pablo Picasso, born in Malaga, Spain in 1881, was the son of an art teacher who encouraged him into the art world, and quickly recognised his talent. After joining the Barcelona School of Fine Arts at the age of 14 Picasso progressed quickly and soon convinced others of his extraordinary talent and creativity as an artist.

Picasso spent the years of 1900 to 1906 in what is referred to as the Blue and Rose Period. The Blue period involved the use of blue in most of Picasso’s works to represent a negativity and sadness of his paintings and those within them. Art experts, even those who rejected his later innovative style, respected his blue period. The rose period signalled a choice of brighter pink tones over the previous blues.

Henri Matisse, Joan Miro and George Braques all became friends of Pablo Picasso after he moved to the capital of arts, Paris, in 1904. Here Picasso was introduced to new art movements by its very influences, such as French Fauvism and Picasso.

Picasso was a big fan of the works of Paul Cezanne and this was the inspiration for the newly founded art movement of Cubism, and later, Synthetic Cubism. Fellow artists George Braque and Juan Gris were also key to the principles of Cubism.

Picasso painted Guernica in 1937 as a protest against an air attack during the Spanish Civil War and is one of his best known paintings, not only for its quality, but also what it symbolised. His symbolic styles were continued in Dying horse and Weeping woman.

Guernica by Picasso remained at the museum of Modern Art, New York until 1981. After that it was taken to the Prado Museum in Madrid, Spain and then the Queen Sofia Center of Art, also Madrid in 1992. Picasso had prevented the Guernica returning to Spain until the end of Fascist rule by General Franco.
