PWC Cover Shopping
Whether it is almost time to put your pwc on a trailer and get it to the lake, or that time of year where you drain the oil and put it in the garage, you’re going to need a pwc cover to protect your favorite summer sporting toy. Finding a cover that fits your watercraft to a tee is one of the best investments you can make second to buying the thing in the first place. And the best thing is, it’s super easy to find pwc covers online these days, specifically designed to fit your make and year of pwc.
Acquiring pwc covers or seadoo pwc covers with a perfect fit should be the most important factor when you are deciding on a custom cover. This becomes extremely important when it comes time to transport your watercraft ? whether you are 10 minutes or 2 hours from your favorite lake or harbor, trailering a pwc with an improperly fitting cover can be hard on your boat, as well as potentially hazardous for you and/or drivers behind you on the highway.
Now, second to a tailored fit, material is probably the second most important factor when you are considering pwc covers. The material that is used will determine how well and for how long your cover will protect your boat.
You’ve most likely already heard of the Sunbrella brand, but it’s popular for a reason: it is probably the best choice available when it comes to canvas pwc covers – it is sun-resistant and tough enough to stand up to any weather, especially in the south. The woven fabric is not only tear resistant, it also helps to disperse heat and moisture, which are the primary causes of mold.
Regardless of whether you are looking for a seadoo cover, Yamaha pwc cover, Kawasaki pwc cover, a doger, bimini, or any other kind of boat cover that you can imagine, it is important to keep these two factors in mind – exact fit, and a durable material. Color choice helps to make your ride look good, but a cheap cover that looks ratty in less than a year just isn’t worth skimping on.
An often asked question is whether you need to buy specific manufacturers brand covers made for your make and model, or if you need to go as far as having a custom designed cover for an exact fit. As it turns out, the pre-made options, whether it is from the manufacturer or a company specializing in custom covers, will often fit your watercraft the way they are designed to, ensuring maximum protection with an exact fit. Fortunately, this is usually cheaper as well. Take some time and look for some reviews about the cover manufacturer you are considering, especially if you are ordering online.
So now that you know the important things to watch for when looking for your sea doo cover, you can feel safe that you will find the best option to protect your summer lake toy. The only other thing you’ll have to decide is whether that really awesome custom designed 3-d flame embossed cover is worth twice the price, but more importantly, whether they make it in a shred resistant breathable material.

Another great place for adverts are signboards of local marinas or boating clubs, especially considering that it is likely that the buyer will be from the surrounding area. Remember to include all of those characteristics that will help set your vessel apart from the others when you write the ad text. Justify your sales price underlining the value for money to attract more potential buyers. Don’t forget to make sure that the contact details are accurate. Providing both a phone number and an email address is a good idea.
Once a serious potential buyer has been found, you will need to be ready to answer lots of questions, so be ready with all the specifications, history, extra pictures, and other info that you need. It’s often good to go through a question and answer process before actually visiting the boat, as this will save you time during the visit.
Don’t forget than when it comes to the price, most buyers will expect to be able to negotiate on the initial asking price somewhat, so be ready to counter any objections they may have and to be able to reiterate the boat’s value. Still, be ready to concede a bit on the price.

This Year Your Seadoo PWC Cover Looks Count!
Seadoo PWC covers are a funny topic amongst racers. Every racer I know wants a rad looking cover and goes to great lengths and expense to find these covers but very few will admit that it is a priority for them. When it comes to tournaments and races all of the competitors, including myself, are keen to get those covers off the machine and get the machine on to the water! A few months before the first race of the season, I mentioned to the race organizer that I was contributing to a seadoo pwc cover blog. Before long I got an email saying that an optional cover contest was to be held after the Saturday races and before the awards dinner.
A lot of racers are proud but quiet about their choice of seadoo cover. Most riders prefer to make their statements on the water. That said, I know amongst my closer racer friends that the look of their covers is very important and a source of unspoken pride at tournaments. I know that some of the better racers (with sponsor money) have new seadoo pwc covers for every season.
By Saturday morning no one had entered the contest. I reckoned it would be a last minute decision for many of the racers. After all, everyone needed to concentrate on the real reason they were at the tournament in the first place. I reckoned that once the competition was over the riders might be interested in a little bit of fashion fun.
Saturday afternoon I went to look for the organizer and when I found him I was told that no one had entered the competition. I was disappointed but not surprised. The competitors were standing around in small groups getting reacquainted and I noticed some small talk about the cover contest. Some of the racers were saying that they had no intention of entering the contest but if they were so inclined they would be sure to win. As the afternoon drew to a close the claims of having the hottest cover became more insistent. It was decided that relatives ( read: girlfriends, boyfriends, children or spouses) could enter the seadoo covers on behalf of the athletes.
Once family was permitted to enter, we got 4 or 5 contestants immediately. There was a clear sentimental favorite as it was presented by a dancing 5 year old. The custom details were vines and roses as the watercraft was based out of Roses Marina. The cover itself was a light green water resistant material with thick darker green stitching.
The seadoo cover contest was a lot of fun. I can see it being repeated at this competition year after year. Some of the competitors were taking about swapping covers with some of the international competitors at bigger events. This tournament has always been one of my favorites. As always, it was a lot of quality racing but this year it had the added twist of featuring custom designed seadoo pwc covers.
