The Amazing Three Inseparable Jacks

This is a fantastic up close card trick that requires about two minutes of preparation. After that it works itself, so much that you can even have a volunteer do all the work. By the time you finish reading this, you’ll know exactly how to do this trick so you can go out and practice on your friends. And if you can tell a good story along with this trick, so much the better.

Here’s how the trick will look to your contacts. You start out with three Jacks spread out across a table. You make up some elongated fable about how they are best associates, and always discover each other. Then exaggerate about how they were one way or another estranged. Put one Jack on top of deck, one someplace in the center, and one on the bottom. Remember to explain that Jacks of magical powers of reunion.

Then ask your volunteer to cut the deck once. After they cut the deck, tell some more tales about how the Jacks always find each other no matter what happens. Then turn the deck over, and spread out the cards. Someplace in the middle, the three Jacks will be together once again, dramatic the crowd.

Here’s the secret. Before you begin, make sure to leave one Jack on top of the deck. That way, when you put one Jack on top, they’ll really be two Jacks on top of the deck. And when you put one Jack on the bottom, and your volunteer cuts the deck, they’ll inevitably be putting one Jack on top of two, so they will always be someplace in the deck.

Make sure when you do this to keep the focus on your fable, and use broad hand gestures and so on. Because the Jacks they find in the middle of the deck won’t be the same Jacks that were laid at the beginning of the trick. But if you only lay them out long enough to show everyone that there are indeed three Jacks, and keep on with your story for a couple of minutes after you place them in the deck, they will most likely quickly stop thinking about the accurate suits.

Of course, with some skillful hand maneuvers you can do this ploy again, but you run the risk of being detected, as they’ll be watching your hands much more directly. I’ve only been able to do this two or three times in a row before my viewers figured out what was going on. However, this is a great trick to do if you’ve got a couple supplementary tricks up your sleeve, so to speak. Have fun.

The Unbelievable Supernatural Card Deception

If you love to do up close magic, but can’t be bothered with learning all kinds of technical sleight of hand maneuvers, then you’ve come to the right place. This a completely mathematically based self working trick, which means anybody can do it. But since it seems to be mysterious, you can play it off like you’ve got powerful psychic abilities, and impress loads of people with this simple trick. The more you talk this trick up, the better.

Here’s how the deception looks like to your soon so be fascinated audience. You tell them that you have recently discovered some dominant skills of psychic projection. You can place thoughts secretly in their mind. Of course, they don’t trust you, and they ask for a exhibition, to which you fortuitously oblige.

You pull out a normal deck of cards, and open up the cards so that only you can see the cards. You spend a substantial amount of psychic power looking at the cards, and looking at your buddy. Then you put the cards back into a ordinary stack, and tell the person to pick any two cards, without naming the suit. Like ace, and queen, or ten and three, for example.

Once they choose their two cards, you look through the deck, and show them that the two cards they chose are right next to each other. They will be amazed, and likely ask you to do this trick again. You go through the motions of looking at the cards, and projecting the numbers into their heads. Once again they choose two cards, and once again you show them their two cards are right next to each other in the deck.

The rationale this always works is due to absolute mathematical probability. Since they aren’t naming the suit of the card, and only the number, there is about a ninety percent likelihood that any two cards they pick will be next to each other, since when they choose two cards, their in fact choosing eight (two cards of four suits each). And just pure mathematics, the probability of any two of any eight cards in a deck being next to each other is about ninety percent.

Of course, the more you talk this trick up, the better. The more you act as if to project thoughts into their mind, and go through the motions of doing painful psychic projection the better. If you want you can make a kindly wager with them that you can accurately “project” the cards into to their head before the trick. Have fun with this.

The Awesome Regrowing Money Trick

Here’s another great magic trick that never fails to baffle any audience. Because it’s done with money, it will be sure to quickly and powerfully grab anyone’s attention. This up close magic trick requires some preparation and some practice, but you’ll surely find that it’s worth it, as most people will not believe their eyes when they see this incredible trick.

Here’s how the trick will look to your ready viewers. You pull out a bill, any bill will do, but I propose using simply a dollar, as you will be cutting it in half. You explain to the mass that you have recently uncovered some powerful currency magic from the gods of treasure, and you are going to give a demo. You pull out a dollar bill, and a pair of scissors.

As the mob looks on excitedly, you cut the dollar bill in half. You hold each half up separately for all to perceive, and with some magic words, and perchance a wave of your magic wand, with each hand you magically make each cut half grow into a new, full dollar bill. You have just performed the impossible. You have cut a dollar bill in half, and each half has grown a new half, so now you have two dollars!

Here’s the secret. Before, you’ll want to carefully arrange both bills. You take each bill, and gently swathe the center of each with a thin strip of rubber cement. Make sure to cover both sides. After you have finished covering each side with rubber cement, cautiously dust the rubber cement with baby powder, or talcum powder.

When you pull out the “single” bill, it is really two bills placed carefully together. When you cut through each bill, you will have two halves that are joined by the rubber cement. So when you open up each half, they will appear to be a single bill, when in fact it is two separate bills that are now glued together by the rubber cement.

This takes a bit of practice, so make sure you rehearse with some regular paper. Of course, if you don’t like the idea of cutting real money in half, you can always use stage money, or monopoly money. Also it’s a decent idea to talk a good game previous to and after the trick. Another good idea is to speedily put both bills back in your pocket, where you have two more indistinguishable bills waiting, should anybody ask to examine them. This works great at parties or bars, where individuals are cozy and having a good time. Have fun with this.

Immediately Astound Any Audience With This Unbelievable Card Trick

Here’s a fantastic up close magic trick that is easy to learn and powerfully impressive. You will quickly and readily convince your friends that you have psychic powers of telekinesis beyond their wildest imaginations. And it’s also a great lead in to some other tricks, which will quickly make you the most popular person at the bar or party.

Here’s how the trick will look to you friends. You’re sitting around a table at a party or a bar, talking about whatever. You casually mention that you’ve recently learned some telekinetic skills. Obviously, their conversation will come to a dead halt as they demand a demonstration of your newly found gifts. Of course, since you’ve just learned these powerful skills, you can only move small objects. Of course, you tell them that you haven’t learned to lift up pool tables or anything like that.

You produce a deck of cards, take one out at random, and place it on the back of your hand. You invoke the magical powers of Zeus, or your favorite god whenever you use your telekinetic powers, and the card magically starts to bend according to your powerful mental will. Once you’ve satisfied your friends of your powerful mental energy, you explain that now you need a rest, as they have no idea how much psychic power it takes to bend a card. After that just return to talking about whatever you were talking about before you performed this magnificent illusion.

Here’s the trick. Before you announce your special powers, rub some water on the back of the hand that you are going to place the card on. You’ll need an inexpensive, non-laminated deck of cards. The cheap cards will be porous, and will naturally soak up that water that you have deftly rubbed on your hand. When it does this, it will naturally bend toward the curvature of your hand, amazing your friends in the process.

This is one of those tricks that require you talk a good game both before and after the illusion. If you only call attention to the card, and bend it for them, they’ll likely know that something is up. But if you build it up, and tell an interesting story beforehand, (get it, before hand?) and quickly cover it up with another story after the fact, it will go over much better.

Of course, if you know any other simple card tricks (that don’t require the whole deck, sine you’ve just ruined one of the cards) this would be a great time to pull them out. There are many simple tricks that don’t require you to be playing with the whole deck. This is a great introduction to some fantastic tricks that you can entertain your friends with, or if you get lucky, start to attract a crowd of eager onlookers. Have fun.

The Powerful Sticking Cash Magic Trick

If you like simple, fun and powerfully mesmerizing up close magic tricks, then you’ve come to the right place. I’ll show you a quick trick in this short article that will have them wondering if you’ve made some secret deal with the devil or something.

Here’s how the trick looks to the audience. You ask to borrow a couple of coins, preferably pennies, or pence pieces if you are in Britain. Any other currency, you must get coins that are made from copper. Some countries use aluminum coins, so they won’t work for this trick.

Once you have two coins, you rub them together and say a few magic words. The more strange sounding the magic words are, the better. And then, through your incredible powers of telepathy and other worldly skills, the two coins will magically stick together like glue. When you touch them together, they will magically stick, like glue, and you can pick it up off the table. If you give the two coins back to their original owner, it will be impossible for them to duplicate this trick.

Here’s the secret. You’ll need to get a small Neodymium magnet. These are cheap and you can buy them online or from any hobby shop. Get one small enough to hide between your forefinger and middle finger on either hand. Just make sure that the coin in your hand is in contact with the magnet at all times. That will magnetize the coin, so it will pick up the other coin.

This requires a bit of misdirection and some patter. Talk up a good game, before, during, and after the trick. And be careful not to spend too much time showing them that the coins are sticking together. Hold them together long enough so they will notice that the coins are sticking, and then give them the coins back. You want the focus on your hands only long enough to see that the coins are stuck together, then quickly shift he focus to the coins, rather than your hands, but giving them back to the original owner.

This is a great trick because it only takes a little bit of practice, and the only prop you need to carry around with you is a small magnet. Anyplace people have had a couple of drinks is perfect for this trick. This is also a great bar trick, as their are usually coins that are sitting around on the table for whatever reason.

One way to do this trick is to go right into it without any announcement whatsoever. Just pick up one coin, touch it with the hidden magnet in your hand, and then use it to pick up another coin. Look at them with surprise and astonishment, (long enough for somebody else to notice) and then quickly put them back down. This way, they’ll be focusing on the coins, and not your hands. Of course, everybody else at your table will try and repeat this, but won’t be able to. If you can do a good job of acting innocent and clueless, you can have great fun with this trick.
