Guitar Lessons DVD: Repeat Your Lessons Many Times As You Need To
Find out what inspires you and soak yourself in that. For me, going to concerts to see great players or bands inspires me to practice more. Listening to great singers inspired me to refine my vibrato and phrasing. Listening and studying the music of great classical composers inspired me to study music composition.
I have written an article on this exact topic titled: Choosing a Teacher. I can’t stress enough how important it is to find the teacher that is right for you! Your teacher (or Lessons DVD) should always be Goal Orientated. If its not look for another teacher or school to study with! You don’t need a teacher to simply give you information or things to practice – you can get those things anywhere, what you need is a teacher who knows what your goals are, Cares about helping you reach your goals, and knows how to help you reach your goals.
NEVER GIVE UP! Never say can’t. Never say I can’t. Never say someday. Never say if… If your IQ is higher than room temperature, if you have all of your fingers and if you really want to succeed, you can.
If self expression is the pinnacle of art (or if you at least agree it is very important) and if you desire (and attempt) to express yourself in art (music), you are an artist. In the past, I would not have used the label “Artist” to describe anyone that was not already great at creating genuine art. I typically reserved the words, art, artist and musician for only the highest levels of excellence. But as a teacher of music composition, songwriting, and self expression I have changed my use of these terms for the benefit of all students.
You need to be totally self reliant. If this is not a normal part of your personality, fortunately there is help for you. Only you can stop yourself from procrastinating. Take the initiative now to go forward.
Absolutely spend a good amount of time in practicing reversing that habit. Practice in a new way, where you make sure you do what you weren’t doing before. Analyze the essence of that bad habit, extract it from it’s musical context, and perhaps make up “auxillary exercises” based on the essence of it. Use all the practice techniques that I teach to effectively begin this process of reversal.
In fact, it makes learning things like bar chords an orderly, if still somewhat demanding process. And the result is a very comfortable feeling while doing them, and the proper basis for more advanced techniques, such as keeping a bar down while the other fingers do all sorts of things that demand great control.
Playing the guitar well is not reserved for just some special people. It is available and possible for everyone.

Guide to Find the Best Massage Chair
If you are looking for a massage chair, then you may want to be aware of a few things as you go about researching. We present a massage chair selection guide to help you sort through some of the more relevant issues when making a massage recliner choice. There are many important features to consider and you must know which ones are most important for your needs. Massage chairs are a long-term purchase and you should do sufficient research to find the best massage chair for your needs.
Know What You Want: It is important to have a good idea as to what your needs are. Since these are more expensive items, you need to look more at your long-term needs. Do you have any areas of concern that may require massage therapy in our future? Also think about what other users may be using the chair over time.
Long-term Horizon: This is a purchase for your health and well-being. You want to do enough research to find the right features that you won’t need now and in the future. You will want to check out different warranties and find out if you can receive service for your chair in your home.
3) Features of Massage chairs: You will need to start to put a list together of important features for you. What features are important to you? Do you want a massage chair with just a back massage? Do you want lower body massage? Do you want heat? Do you want to have a music player? Do you want a manual recline or motorized recline? There are many important decisions to make. You will want to prioritize your list. Not all massage chairs will have the exact combination to match your list. At some point you may need to make some tradeoffs.
4) Try Some Massage chairs: Many malls have stores that carry massage chairs. You should go and try them. You can also go to home shows which usually have massage chairs as well. You will want to sit in them and see how they feel for you. While your trying them, check out their prices. Most store malls will carry slightly different models than what you find on the internet. Remember that a store has to cover more overhead than an internet site, so they will generally be more expensive at the mall.
Research For Your Chair: There is a lot you can do from your computer at home. Just log onto the Internet and find out about many of the massage chair brands. Find out the specifications of the chairs that you like and note any particular features. Most online dealers list the critical features of each model.
Get a Solid Warranty: The warranties for massage recliners vary greatly. Some manufacturers offer extended warranties for extra costs while others offer it included. Make sure you are covered with parts and also find out if the manufacturer offers in-home service.
Make Your Analysis: Now is the time to put all the information together. Find the different brands and features that you like. Factor in your budget and make a decision. Also make sure you that you think of where your chair should go and the space requirements. This is the fun of decision-making.
Location of Chair: Think about where you want to put the chair. Remember that massage chairs will recline and many have leg rest which will extend out. The footprint of a typical massage chair can be significant. Some need as much as 6 to 7 feet from the wall.
9) Ready to Make Your Decision: OK, decision time. Which massage chair did you select? Where do you want to purchase it? What kind of shipping do you want? Do you want them to drop it off in the box or set it up for you? Shop around and see what makes sense for you.
Massage Time: You have just taken delivery of your chair. Wow! It is absolutely beautiful. Now it’s time to get a massage. Get comfortable in the chair, recline it back and raise the leg rest. Just select one of the automatic programs and let the relaxation begin. This is the best part, relaxing in your new massage chair.
Myth Buster: More Motors Make a Massage Chair Better
Every industry has its myth about products, technology or features. The massage chair industry is no different and many myths have been put forward. One paticularly persistent one is about the number of motors. This myth claims that the more motors the better. There were claims of shiatsu massage chairs having 6, 10 or even 18 motors. Of course, having more motors can be advantegeous, but also has tradeoffs. Are these claims sustainable in reality. This myth is put to the test.
This myth buster will challenge the more motors the better the chair. There are inherent advantages to having more motors, such as more massage movements. As with anything, there are tradeoffs, such as quantity versus quality. Can a massage chair with 18 motors have the same quality motors in a chair with only 3 motors? Keep in mind that motors are one of the most expensive items in a massage chair. Since, motors are not cheap, as the number of motors increases, the cost of the chair increases holding the quality level equal. Obviously, there is a great chance as motors are added; the quality level of the motors will drop.
Weight is a consideration since motors weigh between 2 lbs to 5 lbs each. Imagine a massage chair with 18 motors, each weighing 5 lbs for a total of 90 lbs just in motors. Motors can quickly add more weight. Space is another important consideration. There is only so much space in a shiatsu massage chair for the motors and the mechanisms driven by the motor. Shiatsu assage chairs with 3 motors in the chair back are already constrained, where do the other 15 motors go?
How are high end luxury massage chairs designed with motors? Most manufacturers use 3 high quality motors. One for the kneading massage, one for the tapping massage and the third motor for moving the roller unit up and down. Software synchronizes the movements of the motors and running the tapping and kneading motors together produces the shiatsu massage.
There is a 5 motor design where the kneading and tapping use two motors each. This is done by having a motor on both the left and right side rollers for both the kneading and tapping. Having 2 motors for kneading splits the duty and should lead to longer motor life. Did it make any difference in the massage capabilities? There was no noticeable difference. Is more better?
Some massage chair companies started this fad and some how it caught on and became perpertuated into myth. We still see massage chair companies hyping that they have 12 or 15 motors. It is obvious that these motors cannot all drive the massage mechanisms. These companies think that if it moves, we can count it as a motor. Having motors is not enough, what do they actually do? This is a myth built on hype and unsubstantiated facts. Why would someone want an overly complex chair with low quality motors? Simple is the elegant solution.
