A Health Instructor Inspires His Students To Discover More About Signs Of Alcoholism, Symptoms Of Alcoholism, And Alcoholic Symptoms

Mr. Johnson was one of the health lecturers at a medium size rural high school in the Southern part of the United States. For "Alcohol Responsiveness Month" he came to a decision that he would center his attention on the following three topics for a class project: the symptoms of alcoholism, alcoholic symptoms, and the signs of alcoholism.

After Mr. Johnson completed the topics that would be assigned to his pupils, he made up his mind that he would furnish them with their assignment the following Tuesday morning. When "assignment day" eventually came, Mr. Johnson met with the pupils in his class, disseminated some applicable reading material, and then notified his pupils about the topics he settled upon.

He then gave his pupils a synopsis of some key signs of alcoholism and noted how necessary it is to become skilled at figuring out how to associate these facts, symptoms, and statistics with the real-life experiences of alcohol dependent individuals. He then gave the students in his class a succinct description about the relevance of learning more about alcohol dependent individuals and how they function on an everyday basis.

Mr. Johnson told the pupils in his class that they could focus on one of the three topics or research all three topics and how they are interconnected. For all intents and purposes this would be analogous to a basic overview but done in a more far-reaching manner.

Another alternative that he provided for his pupils was the following: decide on a topic such as alcohol dependency symptoms and signs, inquire into things more thoroughly, and then go over two or three symptoms and signs. Mr. Johnson then talked about the fact that the same logic applies to the other two topics, specifically, alcoholic symptoms and the symptoms of alcoholism.

The end result of their exploration would be a ten thousand word research paper and then a five minute oral presentation that would be given in front of the class. As compensation for their excellent scholarly success, those with the top five overall grades on the research paper and on the oral presentation will be asked to present the findings from their research exploration at the county chemical dependency conference during the last eight days of May.

As articulated by Mr. Johnson, since there are more than a few alcoholism signs and symptoms to choose from, he pointed out the fact that he was not excessively nervous about several students picking the same symptoms and signs for their class assignment. Certainly, even if several students were to opt for the same signs and symptoms, the illustrations that are correlated with each sign or symptom would definitely add enough variety to steer clear of several students presenting the same content.

Mr. Johnson then talked about the fact that while there are several alcohol dependency symptoms and signs that could be picked, the total number of alcohol dependency facts and statistics that could be listed were almost inexhaustible. When the topic of alcoholic symptoms was added to the conversation, additionally, the pupils apprehended fairly rapidly that the three topics would provide an immense amount of material from which to pick.

Why did Mr. Johnson choose the symptoms of alcoholism, alcoholic symptoms, and the signs of alcoholism as the topics for this undertaking? Mr. Johnson thought that by boosting the comprehension of his students about the damaging effects of alcohol dependency and the miserable daily lives experienced by alcohol addicted people, his pupils might think more judiciously before they got mixed up with abusive and unhealthy drinking behavior.
