You need, from the beginning to set rational goals and a steady schedule of exercise that will help you be successful in all of your goals, and that is no easy task. That can't come from the aerobic videos - it has to come from you. The most critical thing is that you exercise regularly. Doing each cardiovascular video twice every third Sunday won't do it. Even if you don't ever complete your cardio videos at first, you have to be using them every day or you will not get the greatest results from them - you will hardly get any results at all, truth be told. Set rational goals and stay with them. Imagine it as if you do have to report to a fitness trainer. Remember its no good telling your-self that you will do a 2 hour workout with your aerobic videos each day, and then failing straight away. Set modest goals, ones you know that you can attain, to build self-confidence.

Equally significant is to have a good room to do your aerobics work-out. If you live in a cramped, one room apartment with clothing all over the floor, forget it. You can use some aerobic videos with less space than you might think, but if you don't at least make some room to move around in, you will never attain any of your exercise goals, and that is a crying shame. The beginning of your cardio work-out is really setting a time, clearing out a space, and psyching yourself up. Do not expect immediate success from using your cardio videos. It will be hard work. But if you continue, with-in a month you will see major changes. Who knows this might be your call to a career in personal training.
