Actually they run the entire length of the roof and there are a couple of collectors along the length that come do to downspouts. It is the collector box that has rusted out and I was looking at trying to replace those

In October 2007 I had work done by a company on gutters, fascias, soffits etc. I was happy that the quote was reasonable (I had obtained several others) & thought that the company was reputable so I agreed to go ahead with the work. They did a good job until the end of the day when the workman said he had broken one of the roof tiles & would come back to replace it in a few days. That was 3 months ago and they have still not returned to replace my missing tile. I have rang the head office 4 or 5 times but every time they just apologise & say they’ll sort it within a week. They say they cannot find matching tiles in my area, but all the local houses have the same roof tiles. Why go out touting for business in an area if you haven’t checked out the maket & can’t provide the full service? I know it’s only a minor problem but it is so annoying. I paid good, hard earned money for that work & feel like they have let me down. Is there a trade union I can complain to or any other suggestions?
I live in South Yorkshire, in the UK. Thanks for the answers so far.

Wood has traditionally been used to enhance a home’s exterior. Fascias, bargeboards, soffits, and cladding – it’s surprising how much timber there is on the outside of most houses. The trouble with this is, as well as your guttering and downpipes, it all needs regular maintenance to stave off the problems of rot, rust, mould and insects – let alone keeping it looking smart and clean.

That’s why we supply and fit a range of long-lasting, low-maintenance PVC-U Roofline products that all come with a 10-year guarantee.

Now you can dramatically transform your home exterior with SOS Roofline Systems, safe in the knowledge that it’ll keep its looks for many, many years to come with the minimum of maintenance. Which means no more sanding, painting or climbing unstable ladders.

Quality PVC-U Roofline Products

Fascias

This is the vertical board that is fitted to the end of the rafters at the lowest point on a roof. Traditionally they were made of timber, which requires maintenance and over time will rot and fail, leaving your roof open to the elements.

We will replace all facia with a high quality PVC-U board from our extensive range of styles and colours to suit the style, architecture and period of your home. It will look fantastic, will make your home look neat and tidy and what’s more, it’ll require little or no maintenance, not even a coat of paint!!

Soffits

This is the horizontal board that covers the exposed overhang area of your roof. Traditionally constructed from Timber that will deteriorate over time. Our quality PVC-U replacements will do away with any maintenance or painting issues, and will look fantastic.

We will add the required ventilation as required by building regulations, so you can relax and enjoy a refreshed look to the exterior of your home, safe in the knowledge that once we’ve finished, you’ll not need to do anything to keep the new look.

Gutters & Downpipes

Collecting and draining away the rainwater we all seem to enjoy is vital to the protection of your home. Its simple, but essential and all to often ignored. Traditional guttering and down pipes require a great deal of maintenance, and all too often they fail with serious consequences for the fabric of your home.

We have an arrange of styles and colours to suit all home and property types, all manufactured to the highest standards from maintenance free pvc-u, all at a fraction of the cost of replacing with original cast iron.

UPVC Membrane (Eaves Protectors)

We will replace your old roofing felt with modern PVC-U. It is thermally more efficient, waterproof whilst allowing your roof to breath and has a much longer life span that traditional roofing felt.

It’s the modern efficient product of choice, leaving you with the peace of mind it’ll be carrying on its function for the life of your building, providing it is not damaged.
